Myself, Snowball

(no subject)

I like Terry Goodkind, I really do. I read his first book, then read Robert Jordan's first couple books, and noted the similarity between their respective books 1. Then eventually I got bored with Jordan, and went back and read Goodkind's stuff past book one, and found it to be a lot more interesting and plot progressive.

However, Chainfire pissed me off. Not because I didn't like it at all, not because the plot didn't move along, but come on! - it was SO preachy. I got the idea after about a page, and then had to read through half a book of "free will blah blah blah," "the bad guy is bad blah blah blah." And THEN, just when it was FINALLY getting interesting... the darn thing ENDED.

Has anyone else read this? What did you think? I'm dying to know if anyone else was frustrated with this book.
